Our latest release of our Miffy Moonphase in one of the most spectacular colors so far. This is an actual true Dick Bruna color, the color was used for a special Christmas themed book from Dick Bruna. In order to match the primary moonphase colors from Miffy we decided to change the background color of the moonphase disc from blue to black. It is a plated color which helps to make stand out the 3D etched moon and stars even more.

For this collaboration it was a challenge to incorporate an illustration of Miffy that would honor Dick Bruna's work, without making it childish. With a moonphase I incorporated Miffy and made it kind of functional and playful at the same time. During the month she slowly goes away and comes back again. To highlight the luxurious feel, Miffy was etched out of brass, polished and black rodium plated. The moonphase disc is filled with blue paint and after that it is hand filled with Superluminova in the correct Dick Bruna colors. It takes one hour to fill all the stars and Miffy with super luminova under a microscope. Also the entire dial is painted in the correct Dick Bruna color. The movement is a converted Sellita SW288-1. In order to fit the movement and moonphase, the Amalfi was almost completely converted.
