Join Me in Building an Independent Watch Brand

De Rijke Watches is a watch brand with a strong focus on new product development, technical innovation, and craftsmanship. As the brand continues to grow, I am looking for someone to work closely with me and support me in the day-to-day business.

This is not a narrowly defined role. I am looking for a versatile, hands-on person who enjoys variety and wants to be involved in everything that goes into building and running a watch brand.

The Role

You will work directly with me and be involved in both the technical and commercial sides of the company. Depending on your strengths and interests, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting new product development, including close communication with engineers, suppliers, and technical partners

  • Handling client and partner relations

  • Supporting press and media communication

  • Coordinating with international suppliers and manufacturers

  • Representing the brand at events and fairs abroad

  • Supporting the daily operations of the company

  • Assisting in the workshop with watch assembly and technical tasks (a strong plus)

Who I Am Looking For

  • You have a technical mindset and background (engineering, watchmaking, product development, or similar)

  • You have a genuine interest in mechanical watches and horology

  • You have the thinking and problem-solving level of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or scientific field

  • Experience in the watch industry is a big plus, but not essential

  • This role requires the maturity to make decisions and take responsibility without constant supervision

  • You are comfortable working independently and taking responsibility

  • You are a true jack of all trades and enjoy learning new things

  • You communicate clearly and professionally

  • You have a proficient level of English (international candidates are welcome)

  • You are open to international travel when required
